About

Hi, I’m Veronica.

Where it started

I started out in journalism, which basically gave me permission to ask a lot of questions. I learned how to research, find the story buried in the details, and think about what a reader actually needs to know.

Turns out, I still use those skills every day.

How I got here

From there, I moved into content management and curation. I worked with everything from digital newsrooms to entertainment content, and my role kept evolving.

Over time, I found myself getting more involved in the writing and the experience around it. Content design brought those pieces together. It gave me a chance to use everything I’d learned while having a bigger hand in shaping how people experience the content, not just what the words say.

How I work

I like being part of the conversation early, when there are still questions to answer and ideas to kick around. Working with designers and other partners is one of my favorite parts of the job. I like hearing different perspectives, talking through ideas, and seeing where they take us.

I’m just as comfortable taking a project and running with it on my own. Either way, I’ll ask questions. Probably a lot of them. I want to understand who we’re talking to and what they need before jumping to a solution.

And I don’t get too attached to the first thing I write. Sometimes the best idea comes after a few rounds. Sometimes it comes from someone else. What matters to me is getting to something that works.

Outside of work

I’m a Broadway nerd and will absolutely work a show into a trip whenever I can. I love traveling somewhere new, but I’m just as happy at home with a good book.

I also love to bake, especially when there’s a cake to decorate. Give me a theme and I’ll probably get a little carried away with it. I’ve learned that’s half the fun.

And, of course, there’s Chewie. She’s my adventure buddy, fellow Bark Ranger, and very used to having her picture taken.
