Overview
Role: Content Designer
Team: Content Design + Visual Design + Segment Strategy + Digital
Intuit Accountants was bringing a broader platform story to market across multiple products, audiences, and touchpoints. I partnered with visual design to translate that strategy into a creative system where messaging and visual language worked together across the customer journey.
Challenge
The campaign needed to introduce the platform story with impact while staying connected as customers moved from awareness into consideration and product experiences.
We needed a system that could flex across different audiences and channels without losing the central idea. It also needed to shift naturally from bold campaign messaging to more specific product stories as customers moved deeper into the experience.
Finding the creative direction
Content and visual design developed side by side. We explored how the campaign should sound and look, using the broader Intuit brand as our foundation while creating an expression specifically for professional tax customers.
The idea centered on a simple truth: the problem wasn’t the professional. It was the system around them. Instead of asking tax professionals to change how they work, we wanted to show what becomes possible when their tools work together.
The visual system reinforced that idea through fluid forms that represented connection across tax, books, and advisory. The messaging challenged fragmented ways of working while pointing toward something more connected.

Giving the campaign a voice
I helped develop a messaging approach grounded in the realities of modern tax professionals. Instead of leading with product features, we started with the pressures they were already experiencing: disconnected systems, increasing complexity, and the need to perform at a high level. Short, confident headlines created the campaign voice, while supporting copy added context as customers moved deeper into the experience.
The language was confident and direct, but the message wasn’t one-size-fits-all. We adapted the story around the needs of different firms and where they were in their journey. For some, that meant emphasizing control as complexity increased. For others, it meant reducing friction or creating room to expand beyond tax preparation.
The belief stayed consistent. The proof changed depending on who we were talking to.

Designing for the client journey
The campaign couldn’t rely on the same message at every touchpoint.
At awareness, we used bold, product-agnostic language to challenge fragmented ways of working and introduce a new standard. As customers moved into consideration, messaging became more relevant to their needs and focused on platform-level benefits. Closer to conversion, campaign language receded and product outcomes became the proof.
This created a consistent story without forcing every interaction to look or sound the same.
Moving from campaign to product
As customers moved from off-property campaign experiences to Intuit-owned pages, the expression became more focused.
Bold color and campaign language helped capture attention early in the journey. Deeper in the experience, cleaner layouts and more specific messaging shifted the emphasis toward clarity, product value, and conversion.
The transition allowed the campaign to remain recognizable without competing with the information customers needed to make a decision.

Built to flex across channels
The system extended across social, display, landing pages, and product experiences. Each execution could respond to its channel and audience while staying connected to the same platform story.
Rather than creating a set of matching assets, we created a foundation teams could adapt while maintaining a recognizable voice and visual language.
Content + design, developed together
This wasn’t a traditional handoff between writer and designer.
My visual design partner and I worked together from early exploration through execution, using messaging and design to influence each other as the campaign took shape. We established shared principles for how the campaign should look and sound, then applied them across different audiences, channels, and stages of the journey.
That collaboration helped the words and visuals feel like parts of the same idea.
A shared foundation for GTM
The final work gave Intuit Accountants a cohesive way to bring its platform story to market.
The messaging could shift from broad campaign ideas to audience-specific needs and eventually product proof without losing the central story: modern tax work performs better when the system around it is connected.
The result was a flexible foundation that brought content and visual design together across the customer journey.
